The Colemans Winter League is now rattling along and we find ourselves at Round 5 already! My league to date has been steady but unspectacular to be honest and I now find myself needing some section wins if I’m to make any impact inside the top 5.
Saturday arrived in the blink of an eye after the obligatory week of madness and fun that is work.
The weather has taken a massive plunge in temperature over the last week or so with ice being present on many venues which has made the fishing very difficult
There never is quite the perfect balance in winter. From October until mid-March generally means the river wye for me
Even in the height of summer, location can be important on any venue but during the colder months when fish begin to shoal up it can be critical!
With the arrival of winter (and my second child!) my carp angling has well and truly taken a back seat
As any angler I’m always keeping my eyes on the weather for any type of window of opportunity even more so in the winter
After a year of testing the different products of the Bait Tech range, I have to admit how impressed I am by the quality and the diversity of applications possible
I was given a bottle of Bloodworm liquid as this was something Bait-Tech was looking to bring out and was thinking how would I use this in my fishing?
Sunday saw me at the mighty Stainforth and Keadby canal at Thorne. I chose to pleasure fish this week as I wanted a change from the matches, matches and more matches!
