Bait-Tech Viaduct – An introduction

Bait-Tech Viaduct Fishery is one of the prettiest commercial fisheries in the country. Not only that but it carries with it a fearsome reputation for exception fishing. Six well stocked lakes nestle beautifully in the Cary valley over looked by the village of Somerton. The mature character filled lakes are packed with features and lily beds, islands and tree lined margins all make for interesting and exciting fishing.

Known for its stock of fast growing, hard fighting fish, the venue suits anglers of all abilities and with carp to over 28lb, tench, bream, roach, rudd and perch – all of which grow to specimen sizes, you can’t fail but to enjoy it.

Famed for its large match weights, Viaduct really has become a mecca for competition anglers all over the country. Hundreds of pounds of fish are caught regularly with some staggering silverfish weights possible too. Big weights of skimmers and tench are regularly recorded to those who target them.

A well-managed venue with 136 timber fishing platforms, onsite café and well stocked shop to buy all your tackle and bait from. See the full Bait-Tech range and get expert up to the minute advice from Steve and Paul on how the lakes are fishing.

Owned by Steve Long and co-managed by Paul Greenwood. These guys have taken fishery management to the next level. Self-stocking programmes as well as on-going habitat maintenance are a priority at Viaduct. Water quality and condition is thoroughly measured and controlled meaning the fish are tip top condition. Its no wonder they test your tackle to its limits!

In recent years they have added the log cabins catering for holiday makers. In true Viaduct style they have gone over and above the standard currently available elsewhere and these plush accommodations make for a wonderful fish filled respite.
