Results from Maver Bait-Tech Anglers
A few results over the past month for the Maver Bait-Tech guys.
Alistair Ogilvy who currently is in 5th place in the Kamasan Matchman of the Year kept up his good form with a win in the final winter league practice match on the Grand Union Canal at Milton Keynes weighing in 8lb + of roach and perch, caught on bloodworm and bread punch. A week later he won the big Christmas Open at March on the old Nene with 11lb 10oz of roach on bread punch.
Sean Higginbottom and John Spalton finished 1st and 2nd in the mid week Christmas match again at March with 15lb 10oz and 15lb 3oz respectively of roach caught on hempseed.
Wayne Swinscoe won the first round of the Bourne Winter League on the Town Welland at Spalding with a record breaking 53lb 4oz of roach taken on bread punch. Phil Chesterton finished a good 3rd with 42lb 6oz of roach. Wayne’s win came on the back of three mid week wins on the Upper Witham with 14lb 6oz, 16lb 9oz and 17lb 15oz of roach, dace and chub taken on caster and pole.
Chris Jenkinson won the latest Fosdyke League match with 20lb of roach on bread punch. The following day he framed with 11lb of roach and rudd on the 1st round of the Hajac League on Ravely Drain, Ramsey.
