Suggest a suitable rig to use when fishing over particles?

Mark from Stevenage has a question for the Carp team.

Question:

Hi, could one of the Bait-Tech Carp team suggest a suitable rig to use when fishing over particles?

Answer: Hi Mark, I’d like to answer this one for you. I do a lot of margin fishing over particles. I find its best to feed a tight spot and fish short hooklinks no more than 4″ long. I will usually feed Super Seed Hemp, Scopex Corn and a few crushed Growlers. Hook bait is half a tiger tipped off with a pop up Incredible Edible. Carp will hardly move between mouthfuls so small balanced baits will easily get hovered up and the short hooklink will help hook the fish before it can eject the bait. For hooklinks I usually use a supple coated camo braid, hook pattern would be a Fox SSBP size 8 with a bit of shrink tube to help the hook turn even more aggressively. A small piece of rig putty completes the rig.
